About the Author: BC Roberts
Author, Activist and Agent of ChangeBC Roberts, also known as Britt, has always marched to the beat of her own drum. There were many obstacles and extremely challenging situations she faced while growing up. She credits her strong family values and belief in God with keeping her resilient. Although her life has not been easy, she always believed that having a positive attitude and sense of adventure gave her hope for the future. A native of Texarkana, Texas, she left home after high school to travel before settling on a career field. She used the Army Reserves as an opportunity to visit different places and learn new exciting things. She was the first woman in her family to join the Army, but others had served in different branches prior to this.

About the Vision
An avid reader, BC Roberts turns to books in order to regain focus, unplug from the world and satisfy her love of learning. This first publication of Bee Rob Books LLC, “Tango Goes to Texarkana”, was birthed from a vision in a dream. The story is meant to give a different view on coping with change. We cannot always help the things that happen to us, but we can decide how we choose to respond to them. Having dealt with her own adversities in life she believes that reading with purpose, meditation, quiet reflection, affirmations and her faith are responsible for getting her through challenging times. This is especially important to teach our youth so they can develop the practical and necessary skills to be more adept at adjusting to uncertainty.
She also leaned on some of her job training to tailor the story for practical use. As a 22- year member of the United States Army she has received world class training ranging from Equal Opportunity through DEOMI (Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute) and certification as a Master Resilience Training under the Penn Resilience Program. Ms. Roberts spends time each month researching and preparing training to enhance her skills as an instructor for this additional duty.
This story can be applicable to every area of life. It is even now more relevant than ever while so many have had to adjust while dealing with a worldwide pandemic, social crisis and other issues on large scale. Running a small business during the pandemic with a new book publication meant applying the themes of this story in real time.
